Lakritsroten
The retail chain Lakritsroten is going against the grain and made a big investment despite the current economic downturn and the increasing phenomenon of retail death. At the beginning of the year, they opened their most ambitious venture yet – the flagship store at Arlanda Terminal 5. The new store is like a liquorice lover’s dream, offering a modern shopping experience with a strong focus on quality, craftsmanship, and exceptional service from their well-trained liquorice experts.
Travelers will discover Sweden’s widest range of liquorice in the store, with over 600 different products from more than 70 different brands. It’s truly a liquorice paradise right in the heart of the airport terminal’s hustle and bustle.

Challenges
The expectations for the new store were high, and they wanted an elegant ceiling with a sleek design. The Tego Linear ceiling delivered and exceeded expectations, providing excellent natural light.
However, the construction of the store at the airport was not without its challenges. Meeting the safety requirements for an airport environment posed an additional challenge, and building in a location with constant human movement required extra planning and precision. Despite this, they are particularly pleased with both the quality of the result and the efficient project management from Tego.
Lakritsroten has truly created something unique and exciting in the midst of the lively atmosphere of the airport.
