Colour rendering – what’s that?

Have you ever bought something and then been disappointed when it didn’t look the same at home?
Or noticed that, under some lights, even the juiciest, reddest steak can look downright gross?
Both are explained by colour rendering.

Colour rendering determines how well a colour matches with reality. CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is measured on a scale from 0-100. The highest value, 100, is equivalent to daylight. Today it’s possible to choose LED lamps with a CRI of 80 or even 90.

Using retail lighting with good colour rendering properties is especially important for clothing and fashion brands.

När färgen på plagget i butiken stämmer överens med färgen på plagget hemma minskar risken för kundens besvikelse.
